This can be said to have happened when an individual makes payment by issuing a fake cheque to a business for goods or services. The amount stated on the cheque paper is usually in excess of the actual value, and the business will be made to refund the excess amount. This can also happen when the fraudster pays with fake currency (by cash)

An individual intentionally gives an incorrect information to claim benefits they are not entitled to. For instance claiming that he or she has a child, and that child was born in Nigeria to make the child or its parent entitled to a benefit when in fact the child was born in Ghana.

CLICK FRAUD
This is when fraudsters intentionally and continually click on a pay-per-click advert, thereby inflating a company advertising bill. The advertising company will then be paying for adverts not used properly.
