Recently, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) issued a statement to the effect that it has cancelled unexecuted projects awarded between 2000 and 2019, and contractors are expected to refund the monies for the projects.
It again brings to the front burner, issue of corruption in the nation’s procurement and project monitoring processes, and the NDDC in particular.
