The Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State on Wednesday claimed that gunmen killed one of its pastors in Asso, in the Jema’a Local Government Area of the state. The CAN Chairman in the state, Rev. Joseph Hayab, identified the deceased as Rev. Alhamdu Mandadus of the Baptist Church, Asso.
According to him, the military men deployed in the area took the corpse of the cleric to an unknown destination. The CAN leader said, “Gunmen killed Rev. Alhamdu Mangadus of Baptist Church, Asso, today (Wednesday). He was shot dead on his farm and the attackers injured another fellow from Tanda. He called on the government to secure the lives and property of the citizens. As of the time of filing this report, the police had yet to confirm the killing of the cleric.
