The Center for Counter Fraud Awareness (CCFA) were invited to make presentations at the National Workshop/Training on Economic and Financial Crime, Anti-Corruption, Fiscal Responsibility and Good Governance for State and Local Government Officials organized by the House Committee on Financial Crimes in Collaboration with Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The participants, drawn from all Local and State governments of the Federation, were sensitized on existing legal and institutional framework bordered on financial crimes and means to combat such crimes at all levels.
Key points raised were on the effects of corruption on national development and the roles played by civil servants. The responses of all sessions were impressive, and they expressed various ways to support the Federal Government in tackling such menace.
