Bassey Edet Otu is a Nigerian
politician who held a seat in the Federal House of Representatives representing
the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani constituency of Cross River State, Nigeria from
2003 to 2011. He was elected as a Senator for Cross River South in 2011,
running on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform. In 2016, he defected
to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and became the party's Senatorial flag
bearer for Cross River South in the 2019 election. He is the party’s governorship candidate for
the 2023 general elections.
