On the 22nd December 1963, Prince Abdul-Malik Ado-Ibrahim was born into the Atta Royal Family of Ebira Land, Kogi state, Nigeria. He is the 3rd amongst 6 brothers and 1 sister. Enthusiastic to learn, the young prince was always seen accompanying his father on business trips around the globe – so much of who he is today is because of his fathers’ mentorship. Prince Malik is an accomplished Business Man, with his most successful venture being in Renewable Energy and Technology, but away from this he has lived a life and experienced things that many people would believe to be unattainable.
Prince Malik spent the early years of education in the United Kingdom and later obtained a BSc in Economics from the American College, United States. Prince Malik was a model student, accelerating in both the academic and sports field, his interest in sport led him to be the first black man ever to own a formula 1 team, Arrows F1 as well as being an accomplished polo player.
In 2007- 2011 he served as an Under-Secretary at IREO a UN on Renewable and Sustainable Inter-Governmental agency – this sparked his interest in the field. The combination of his experience at the UN and being self-taught in Renewable Energy sector, he established Bicenergy, one of the leading energy and technology companies in Africa.
A patriotic nature, Prince Malik has kept firmly tied to his rich Nigerian Heritage and he does not shy away from attaching his company and achievements to this great nation.
His selfless love for activism and better living for Nigerians has led to his creation of Reset Nigeria Initiative, a movement that seeks to reshape the status quo of Nigerian Politics. He hopes to re-orientate the citizens for accountability in governance through sectorial information for citizen’s empowerment.
An Eagle, a Lion and a Mythical Phoenix are the words that the innovative Prince would use to describe the man he is today.
