29 Nigerians believed to be internet fraudsters, operating in the Volta Regional capital, Ho, were arrested by The Ho Municipal Police Command. The suspects were arrested after a tip-off from some residents of the area, who became uncomfortable with the large number of “foreigners”, who had suddenly occupied the two houses.
33 laptop computers, two flat screen television sets, one router and more than 20 cellular phones , three standing fans, more than 10 subscribers Identity Module (SIM) cards and one table-top fridge, were recovered from the suspects.
DSP Danso told the Ghanaian Times at the weekend that all the suspects had admitted engaging in cyber fraud, but maintained that their targets were foreigners and not Ho residents.
